Arrival — Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and transfer to Lindrin Lodge. Enjoy dinner and meet your fellow climbers at the evening climb briefing. An optional airport transfer is available from JRO to your lodge for $40 USD per person, per way. We highly recommend arriving a day or two early to rest, acclimatise, and settle in before your trek.
Transfer to Lemosho Gate — Begin the Trek — Transfer to Lemosho Gate (2,100 m / 6,890 ft) and begin your journey with a 3–4 hour hike through lush rainforest to Mti Mkubwa Camp (2,895 m / 9,498 ft). Look out for monkeys and exotic birds as you ease into trail life.
Trek to Shira 1 Camp — A 5–6 hour hike through heather and moorland, with expansive views as the forest thins. Enjoy your first glimpses of the Shira Plateau.
Traverse the Plateau to Moir Hut — 6–7 hours of gradual ascent through volcanic rock landscapes and striking alpine views across the Shira Plateau.
Acclimatisation Day — Lava Tower & Barranco Camp — A classic "climb high, sleep low" day to help your body adjust to the altitude. Part 1: Climb to Lava Tower (4,630 m / 15,190 ft) for lunch — 4–6 hours. Part 2: Descend to Barranco Camp (3,967 m / 13,044 ft) — 2–3 hours.
Conquer the Barranco Wall — Trek to Karanga Camp — One of the most memorable days on the mountain. Scramble up the famous Barranco Wall before continuing along the dramatic southern slopes to Karanga Camp (3,995 m / 13,106 ft). 4–5 hours of fun scrambling and scenic traverses.
Ascend to Barafu Camp — A shorter hike to Barafu Camp (4,673 m / 15,331 ft) — rest, hydrate, and prepare mentally and physically for your midnight summit push.
Summit Day — Uhuru Peak & Descent to Mweka Camp — A midnight start for the final push to Uhuru Peak (5,895 m / 19,341 ft) — 6–8 hours. Celebrate your summit at the Roof of Africa, then descend all the way to Mweka Camp (3,068 m / 10,065 ft) — 6–8 hours. A challenging but unforgettable day filled with awe and pride.
Final Descent to Mweka Gate — Celebration Dinner — A final 3-hour descent through beautiful rainforest to Mweka Gate (1,640 m / 5,380 ft), followed by a transfer back to Lindrin Lodge (arrival around 3 PM). Gather for a well-earned celebration dinner with your team.
Full-Day Safari in Tarangire National Park — Spend a full day exploring Tarangire National Park, known for its giant baobab trees, large elephant herds, and sweeping savannah landscapes.
Travel to Central Serengeti via the Ngorongoro Highlands — Journey through the Ngorongoro highlands to the Central Serengeti, with game viewing along the way and the chance to witness the Great Migration.
Travel to the Northern Serengeti — Morning game drive en route to the Northern Serengeti. Optional: Hot air balloon safari over the plains ($599 per person). End the day with a relaxed evening and dinner under the stars.
Game Drives in the Migration Corridor — Continue with game drives and soak in the raw beauty of the migration corridor. Scenic transfer to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with wildlife encounters along the way.
